I've seen a grizzly all too up close and personal once, up in the mountains along the Idaho-Wyoming border, but to this day I have yet to see a black bear in the wild.

There's over 30,000 of them in Wisconsin alone. Never want to see one outside of a zoo.
There are several species that need to be reduced in many areas. Illinois released coyotes in Chicago to control rodents, now they're all over the suburbs, eating people's dogs.
There are moose in Massachusetts, causing road collisions. Now elk in Kentucky, and cougars moving east. They even captured a cougar near a school in Omaha.
Yes, many animals need to be pared back.

I saw.a bear in Tennessee in the middle of the road one night. Ask Nick about that one....

plenty of black bear here in eastern nc, i have one now that keeps terroizing my trail camera. have several pics of him laid out

Remember, when you encounter a bear in the wild you do NOT have to outrun it ... only ya buddy! (Shame on me)

this i agree with i dont have be the fastest but just outrun the guy next to me, or hope he is more interested in food or getting away from me.

I get bear in my back yard..in northern michigan..i love to videotape them
