Bad Storms

There is a line of very bad storms moving ENE from Northern Indiana heading for Toledo north through Metro Detroit. Damaging winds, 65-75MPH are expected along with hail and isolated tornadoes. The Ohio turnpike is right in the middle of the mess.

Stay out of the area until after 10PM if you can.

I gotta tell you we seem to miss most of the storms, summer or winter.

Won't help, Windsor is going to get smoked too.

Hey, I just got the new windshield in Friday. Watch me lose it without even having driven a mile with it in.

Just trying to help.

Spending holiday weekend at ARI Sleepers in Shipshewanna,IN. Storm came over us about 16:30hrs. Moved through traveling approximately 40mph. Winds were extreme for about 10 minutes, picking up items stormed outside their building and blowing them around. Thankfully their 6' chain link fence stopped the flying debris before hitting and damaging our truck and trailer. Being that we were broadside to the winds (60mph plus), it definitely felt like an E ride for a few minutes!

Yep, and it was La Nina winter. Always worse after that.

Had a tornado go by just north of the house. Power has been out for over an hour. Running parts of the house off of the truck, AGAIN. Had to do that this winter for 3 days. Hope it is back faster than that this time

No idea how big tornado was and exactly where it went. Sirens were going off here for a while.

Hope no one was hurt.

Are you kidding? Never seen a nice one yet? I find that very hard to believe.

Nope, not kidding at all. They all have a "nice" section, for the tourists. The rest of the city is, for the most part, a pig pen.

That includes but is not limited too: London, Tokyo, New York City, Detroit, Chicago, Philly, San Fran, Dallas, Toronto, Montreal, Victoria City, LA etc etc etc.

You can "see" them from miles away. A brown "haze" hangs over them in the summer.

i am old, (its late too and i need to go to bed) the "E" ride was started by Disney in the late 50's....Memories, pressed between the pages of my fermented or macerated mind....;)

The weather service says no tornado here yesterday. It was a very large super cell thunder storm. Cloud tops reached 50,000'.

It was nasty for a bit to say the least. Power came back on about 3AM.
