I don't know how I feel about this one. In all honesty this just doesn't seem right. If ur born a woman and decided that u want to be a "man" then why would u keep all ur "old plumbing"?

Kristi...you know I honestly thought if they got the ummm we'll call it plumbing they had the old plumbing taken out?!? I could be wrong so I was confused bc while he had the chest surgery it doesn't say he had the other surgery...so I'm wondering if he was just living like a man not as a man?

Tis interesting, the way it throws our ideas of gender for a loop, lol.
But the fact is that the basic male or female division isn't always as clear cut as most people assume. There's a lot of reasons why those whose gender is a little um, fuzzy, maybe? have always kept it hidden, but it's always existed.
As to why he'd choose to keep the female 'plumbing', I suspect that's easy: because he could, lol.

It never made sense that they call her a man, she was born a woman and is obviously still a woman.

Thomas was born as a female in Hawaii as Tracy Lagondino in 1974. He was a Girl Scout, model, and finalist in a Miss Hawaii Teen USA pageant before he began to dress and live as a man in his 20s.

In my opinion. You are what you were born as. A woman can have her breasts removed doesn't matter she is as much a woman as she ever was. No matter how many injections she gets still a woman.She may look like a man still a woman. She may have a surgeon alter things still a woman. Same thing goes for a man wanting to be a woman can't happen. This kind of stuff just proves how our society puts to much stock in apperance. No offense intended to anyone.

I agree Cheri it isn't always clear cut and to be honest I don't care how you were born or how you choose to live but find it more interesting the spin the media puts on things...if he still had his female organs carrying a child is not that surprisingly but they make it seem like he had gender reassignment surgery and I don't believe he could have bc he'd be missing a few vital things needed to carry a child!
