B unit lock

How often do you (B units) get "locked"? Is this something I should check at each check in? I got locked today (dunno why) and possibly missed out on some loads. I neglected to do a 9MSG after check in (I called the VRU and did a location check to verify) and thus missed knowing about it on my own.

The last time I was blocked, dispatch told me I would continue to receive run offers. Go figure - what is the point of blocking if you are going to get runs.

Units are locked by the vru or dispatcher thinking they are going to need that type unit where you are that day...sometimes its for a bid , sometimes for an active load, sometimes just dva projections, it does not , however stop you from getting offers. if your type truck is needed the dispatcher will remove the lock to offer you the load.
