Auto Lube systems

Just wondering if anyone has an automatic lube system installed on their truck and how do they like it?

They are a good idea, better idea if you have a Tractor Trailer.

I've had Lincoln, Vogel and Groneveld systems and the Groneveld was hands down the best followed by the Vogel. It is important that you get a quality installation. Care must be taken to route the lines so that they don't get torn off or smushed by things that move or steer. The lines are not just regular plastic and are not easy to find replacements and fittings on the road. Most use a thinner grease (EP0 instead of EP2), you might think thats bad but it's the oil in a grease that does the work, thickness just holds it there. if you are shooting fresh grease in every 2 hours you don't need to worry about holding it in, and the run off will fall away instead of gooping up a big mess.

We could comfortably go a million plus without any greasable component failures except the clutch bearing. Still gotta grease the drive shaft. The clutch bearing we went back to greasing with reg grease, with the heat and rotation in there the thinner grease just didn't stay put long enough and we would have failures around the 6-700,000 mark.

And keep it full, they can be a real SOB to bleed the air out of.
