And don't penalize them for not taking a load, after all expedite is not supposed to be forced dispatch!?!

Please list the top carries to work for that will keep you busy and have low fees etc.

Has anyone had better luck signing on with several carries as opposed to just one?

***their drivers*** heat is getting too me out there... Thanks in advance.

Any week is good if you get a load out of Chicago on a Monday is what I've found, start your week early and you will have success that way come friday you're kicking back or killing it and raking big $

Don't get caught up on low fees it is what your profit is that matters. Someone could have low fees keep you moving and you can still end up with less than a carrier with higher fees and fewer miles.

It July kick back and enjoy it.

Given that the next couple of days in the Chicago area are gonna be blistering hot (for this area-- 103 to 108 heat indexes aren't pleasant anywhere) I don't know that moving from a cool air conditioner is such a wonderful idea anyway.

I've been with the outfit I'm with now since I started expediting a couple of years back. I tried working with another carrier as well, but that other carrier left a little to be desired. They paid on time and what it was supposed to be, but not enough work (once every two weeks won't feed anybody) and more than a little question in my mind about operating authority left me feeling uneasy about them. The outfit I've been with since starting has been honest across the board, so I reckon that says something.

It is a hot one. Been up here in Seville for a bit and it is cooler down in Florida.

Do they take drivers from different locations or does a potential driver have to live in Richmond?

Every carrier has warts. No exceptions. The question is how big and how many. Load 1 is one to place very high on your "suspects" list. Bolt is another. If I were looking at companies those would definitely be in my top five list and probably in the top 3 list.

Farm2Fleet similar to Landstar model. No-one cares if you decline any load here. Self dispatched for the most part. More responsibility on you the business owner that way more reward potential also. Like anywhere respect is earned.

I've always wondered about Ceva, they seem like a huge company. I remember picking up a load at their DFW location. I was told their out of Houston TX and have seen their Sprinter vans in Michigan and other parts of the country. I wonder if those are expedite van and owner ops or company driven? I also wouldn't mind checking out what bolts policies are. I hear load one is pretty well staffed.

"Options are good" when and if you have them available... "change takes time"
