APU ??? gen./roof mount ???

truck : 2007 Hino 338 , new
Sleeper : AA 96'
need : apu / generator and a roof mount.

well , im a newbee to Expedite.
and this is my first and last truck (as always...)
i need to buy an APU .
so many to chose from .
did my homework , will get flying hook one ,or the C.G

that unless i can find a good set-up for a
generator ,
and a roof mount ( that can actually keep the sleeper cold/hot )
combination .
need help :
do you have any good experience ???

Don't want to be a smarta** but did you just buy this truck and it didn't have an APU?

am looking to buy this truck next week.
can get the tri-pack / thermo-king installed and financed.
really dont like this one !!!
can get it for the same price any time.
so im on my own now.
and thats fine.
will get one install soon .
just need a good advice.

It would be overkill for the truck you describe, but we have good experience with our Onan 7500 Quiet Diesel generator and roof unit. There was a generator fuel pump issue soon after install. That was covered under warranty by an Onan dealer on the road. Other than that, we now have over 4,000 trouble-free hours on the generator. It and the roof unit easily heats and cools our 132" sleeper, except in the most severe sub-zero conditions. The carrier roof unit, if run on the high-cool setting, will chill us out of the truck when the outside temp is 105F.
