Happy anniversary Pete. I think Mr Wolfe hit 3 years the other day as well.

I will have the shop check the wash bay out Mon morning.

Sitting in Auburn Hills, where I saw snowflakes flying earlier, my response to that would have been drop dead, fred! but for a call from dispatch with a load to Orlando. Where my daughter and granddaughters live. The ones I haven't visited for more than a year, and who don't understand why not.
I am a happy camper now, lol.
Note to Cherokee: you can't check your fuel purchases online, but keep in mind that Dora can, and does, and they need to be logged correctly. [I don't call her Dora the Explorer for nothing, lol] When I first came to Load 1, [2 years for me!], I wasn't used to the fuel stop logging, and got dinged the first week for 'approximating' it, lol. I don't mess it up anymore.

After a nice first week back, which ended with a load that delivered 5 miles from the house, I've already got a load picking up 45 miles from home that picks up tomorrow night going back to Detroit.

As for all the chatter about rates and sitting, that's the way this business works. If John starts getting too flexible with the rates, Load One will be no better then __________ (fill in the blank). I worked for a "regional" expediter in the past, they NEVER lowered their rates. Not even when we bid on loads. Their entire customer base paid what they were billed without questions, strictly on the customer service that the company provided.

I'm a big believer in customer service. If we all take care of the customer, they'll take care of us.

Well said, Mike! If we start to lower our rates, we just gave everything we fought for, everything we stand for, away. Do I like sitting? absolutely not, I can't stand it. But, I try my hardest to keep the best attitude during the sitting peroids. It's all we can do right now, besides lowering our expenses as much as possible to get us through this time of trial and tribulation.

I know I've mentioned this before, but just imagine what John spends on layover pay, with that most likely coming out of his share, the 30%.

The brushes seemed to be pretty wore out as well, not being able to stay tight on the handle as well. They do get alot of use, that's for sure! Thank You for everything, the cost, upkeep, etc of the wash bay.

Well, my Sunday night pickup turned into a Saturday afternoon pickup, hammer down to Detroit. Hanging out at the yard. If you happen to be headed here, this place is packed.

Whether or not you choose to partake in the seasonal ritual of cleaning your truck top to bottom, we think there are other aspects of your life that you should absolutely get busy cleaning out.

Think about it – you’re in the process of evolving into the person you were always meant to be, right? So doesn’t it make perfect sense for you to start getting rid of the less favorable remnants of the old you, piece by piece as you go? We think so!

You NEED to de-clutter your life and make room for the new you. Clean out negative thoughts to make room for positivity, spring is the time to rid yourself of the physical, emotional and mental elements that are holding you back from fully committing to this business.

So get busy living the life you were always meant to live!

Have a grrrreat day......:)
