Anyone track their loads on a map?

I have been using Streets and Trips for many years to track where we pickup and deliver our loads. Where I have a pin dropped I am able to put in information such as if we can park their over night or contact info.

I am upgrading my computer and Streets and Trips will no longer work on what I will have. Anyone have any ideas on a mapping software that might work to replace what I have?

I am upgrading my MAC and I will not be using Parallels Software which is where my Streets and Trips was located.

I am really dreading losing all of the info I have spent years accumulating. Here is an example of one of my Streets and Maps looks like.

I use my " little black book ". If whatever GPS system I use goes South or I change systems, I still have the data. It's a day planner that I also use to help track days away for IRS.

Still need a paper trail. Sometimes modern technology crashes.

when I worked for Roberts express / fedexcc had a mapping program that I could make where loads pickup and deliver, also kept a note book by express center and made a note of it , so I could figure out where to sit for next load

A quick Google search on Streets and Trips data export will produce a number of suggestions about how to export that data from S&T and import it into another program.

If you make the switch over to Android, Navigator is free (Google play store) and can be used offline, or points searched from Google Maps. I use it to store all my routes and points of interest so I don't have to mess with a laptop. Also good for planning those "what if" scenarios. Funky interface but very powerful when you get used to it

Moot did you add your loads!!!

I am trying not to use my Streets and Trips but what I find I really miss is putting in point A to point B to easily look over the route when it goes cross country. I like that I do not have to be on internet to see the route.

So how hard is it to find mapping software that does what you want it to do and transfer your S&T data to it? That sound to me like a routine event. Is it really such a difficult project? Granted, I have had not had reason to research mapping software recently but, come on. Is it really that difficult? A Google search for mapping software for PC or mapping software for Mac produces dozens of possibilities.

Give it a shot Phil as I have not found anything to replace Streets and Trips for a Mac which is why I am asking the question.

To do that, I need a list of the features you desire in a mapping program. Kindly provide if you want me to give it a shot.

The data transfer issue is already resolved. See my post above about exporting data from Streets and Trips.

The first product that seems to meet your needs as you have expressed them thus far is this one: About Maptitude Mapping Software

Your comments. Would this do it for you?

That is pretty much what I am looking for except the price of $695.00.

What I first want is to be able to put in point A to point B and see the route. Then at each point I want to add notes about that point. I also want it to work on a MacBook.

When you your goals conflict, you must sacrifice one to achieve the other. "Maptitude will run on Windows installed on an Apple Mac."

Do you want to save money or draw your map?

The PC-based mapping program Diane and I used when we were in the business no longer exists. If we were in the business now, mapping would be very important to us. The price to get the mapping features we'd want seems to have increased about 700%. We'd pay the money because we'd find great value in the program.

The price is higher than we'd like to pay because the program includes a host of powerful features we'd not likely use. Still, we'd pay the money and happily use the product. I can't make the case that this product would pay for itself given the alternatives that are available out there for free, but we'd still be happier having the product than having the $700. We call such things quality of life expenditures.
