I haul almost every week from KY to Bradford , ON . I always fax the PARS from the shipper and usually everything is processed by the time I cross the border 7 hours later . Last week I reached the border and the PARS didn't clear . ( No , I will NOT stop before the border and sit while the broker forgets to call me . ) . I went to Livingston's office and they tell me the PARS was rejected 3 hours earlier but can't tell me why . 20 minutes later they say it's o.k. and send me down to Customs . Wait 30 minutes , it's rejected again , back up to Livingston . They admit it was their mistake , already have the correct paperwork ready . Back down to Customs and leave after 1 1/2 hour delay . I was told Livingston had similar problems that week .

Yea, I have had to deal with them forgetting to press enter when they processed my load but said it cleared, I also had them mess everything up to the point the Customs lady was getting mad at them (6th or 7th time that day). But the first time I had any problems with them, I was given wrong directions to their office and in the 3 degree (that is 3 degree F not C) I walked almost a mile to find their office. That trip was because they just were too lazy to put in the info and said it cleared.

Funny you should bring this up right now. We just got back to civilization after a trip to Fort McMurray, Alberta....if you don't know, that's waaaaaay up there. Livingston messed ours up too, decided they were not the broker for the shipper and threw our paperwork in the trash! Waited about 6 hours Sat. morning for them to get into the office and fix it.

We had an odd situation going into Canada through Fort Erie. We had never crossed in the manner FedEx asked us to and just knew we would be tied up for hours. We told the customs booth agent how we where crossing and she told us where to park and what building we needed. We crossed about 7:00 in the morning so not much of a line at Livingston. Had a very nice lady help us that knew exactly what we wanted. Made us extra copies sent us to customs and we cleared no problems! She said the way we where told to cross can only happen in Buffalo as the other borders do not recognize that system. It was just awesome to really be dreading something and to have everything go right! We really thanked her for her knowledge and her help!

I do the same run every week . I get my bills and Customs papers at 8:30 a.m. at Carrollton , KY and fax them to Livingston then . Up until the past couple of weeks I'd call a couple of hours later and they'd confirm the papers were being processed . I'd call again an hour from the border and they'd say I was all set . The past 2 trips I'd call an hour from the border and they'd tell me to call back in 20 minutes or they'd call me back . Both times I just went on to the border and my PARS cleared . I would have wasted valuable time on a run over 500 miles waiting for Livingston to figure out my PARS was processed then notify me .

Well , gotta compliment them on a good job this week . I called them when I was halfway to the border and they told me I was all set . I suspect there have been people on vacation earlier this month complicating the process
