I have been on here trying to research a little before a jump into this. Everytime I come on I see something bad about this company or that company. Is there any company out there that is good to sign on with?? I have offers from FedEx and Tristate. I would like to be able to pay for my house while I'm out running my bussiness.

Thanks For the info.

I'm looking at a feightliner FL70. I will be running as a team and I live in South Carolina. I don't mind be out for two or three weeks at a time.

I would go with either carrier, Panther ( in spite of recent posts) and Express 1 are also solid carriers with a good customer base. LEA is also a solid carrier but I think some experience with a centralized dispatch operation would be in order before you consider LEA.
My thoughts only..

Listed in no particular order, I'd have a short list of Con-Way, Panther, Express-1 and Fedex. Once you've got over 6 months experience you can add Landstar to that list. Good luck to you.

We'll go along with the others in terms of companies to pick. You should talk to each of the recruiters after applying on-line thru EO. Find one that suits you. I suspect that any of the national carriers would be pleased to have a team in a D truck.

EO threads are not unlike your local newspaper; the good news is in the back and not read; it's the not so good items that are on the front pages. They say that if it ain't burnin' or bleedin' it ain't news. Lok between most of the EO negative stuff and you'll find lot's of good comments about all of the companies...except one.

I'm pretty sure it's one line below everyone's grandma's saying of "if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all" which we might modify for forums to useful to contribute.

Does anyone know if Bolt Express has a good customer base? Would anyone put them on a list that includes Con-Way, Panther II, Express-1 and Fedex?
Thanks

I don't know a lot about Bolt however I've heard some positive comments about them. Because of limited knowledge I wouldn't say yes or no but I would say they are worth researching. Another I'd add to the "suspect list" and research and consider is TransStewart. Good luck to you.
