ANY EXPEDITE COMPANY'S OUT WEST?

fed ex cc has expedite loads that can keep you busy,just depends what you call out west.if you talking wyoming or montana,good luck,we dont haul cattle,but there are many loads in california,that can be run intrastate,or even keep you busy running north and south.they are always looking for contractors on the pacific side.I'm not aware of any expedite companies that are based out west

Might wanna check out Landstar also. They get a fair bit out west, and actually get their trucks back as well.

But do the Landstar trucks do expedite back from out west or just regular freight?I may be wrong but unless their have been many changes in most of these so called expedite companies,and I'm saying this since over the years I have had some trucks on with the other companies,FedExCC,unless you ask to get a back haul load,only hauls expedite,sure you may sit out west if you only want a load going esat but if you dont care where your going, then expedite is all you will get,there is none of this broker's freight,cheap rates,except for some of their discounts,and thats only because other so called expedite companies are giving their jobs away.You know we are all in a selective type of service and there isn't any reason for our companies to lower themselves to full load rates,and when company X needs a load moved on a timed delivery,then he needs to pay for the service,and if you haul that load for anything less than top dollar ,then you have sold yourself out,think about that ,if your running for a flat rate.Sorry for getting on high horse,just bothers me how the expedite rates have been lowered over the years,when they really didnt need to be.

we work for panther and was out in california for ten days and we couldn't get a load in california.
so after talking to my wife i guess.......well.....we are going to sell our truck...look for it in eol classified.

Yikes....that is a good stretch. I don't believe I would have waited 10 days. It sounds like you weren't on a board anywhere. They would have at least hit you with a short load if you were within reach of LA. I must be missing something? At a minumum you could have thrown a couple of LTL's on, and been out the second day. If you were first out, then I would have waited it out alittle.
