SOMEBODY NEEDS TO GET IT THROUGH TO MDOT THAT WHEN RAMPS FULL BYPASS SCALE IS NOT A BAD THING. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE NUMBER OF REAREND COLLISIONS AT THE NORTHBOUND MICHIGAN SCALE AT ERIE AND MOST HAVE HAPPENED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD BEFORE SCALE HOUSE. I MYSELF WILL CALL 911 TO GET THEM TO CLOSE SCALE AND MOST OF TIME IT WILL CLOSE AND I CAN AVOID HAVING SOMEONE REAREND ME ON THE SCHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND HELP IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREAT

should call or write ooida they have gotten alot states to change how things are done

Two weeks ago N.C. I-77 N just before VA backed up at least 30 trucks on shoulder. I decided it was to unsafe for me to hang there, CB was ringing with all kinds of comliments to the Scale House to CLOSE IT NOW we are not stopping I joined in (not CB) and went on by, as I passed the sign read CLOSED.
Common sense, they listened to the truckers. California has got to rank #1 I have waited close to 30 minutes before to clear. It is very dangerious as anything on the side of the road seems to act like a magnet. Example Police cars now pull people over and park on an angle incase they get hit, and they have flashing blue or red lights sparkling on the tops and rear windows, go figure so much for ours and others saftey, all to see how much we may be over on lbs.
