I can't believe we haven't seen anything on this forum about this patriotic sweethart, especially after the dust-up over Terry Jones, the Quran burning pastor in Florida. She certainly gives us a clear understanding of the Muslim religion, in case there were any doubts about their beliefs or intentions. The Part 1 video is her comments regarding Lindsey Graham's statements on Face The Nation back in April - the link below is for Part 2.
(BTW, this is not for family viewing so be careful with your volume due to the occasional not-deleted expletive)

(2/2) Ann Barnhardt: Burns Quran - AFTER Reading (MIRROR) - YouTube

Now let me make something clear: I DO NOT ENDORSE, SYMPATHIZE, AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH ANYTHING SHE SAYS OR ANY POSITION SHE TAKES. But maybe - just maybe - she has some valid points.

Also, an old saying came to mind as I watched this video: "The eyes are windows to the soul".;)

Personally, I think the above post is trolling .... by posting totally malicious nonsense from someone who likely knows really nothing much about Islam or Muslims - something that would be EXTREMELY INSULTING to the VAST MAJORITY of Muslims who are PEACE-LOVING, including those who might be presently risking their lives in some squalid pesthole on this side of the globe - in like say New York, Chicago, Detroit, or Miami .... or Murfreesboro, Tennessee .....

This isn't the first post of this nature - it's trolling, pure and simple, not a political statement - solely intended to get a rise out of anybody who, being relatively sane, abhors religious bigotry and intolerance .....

I can't believe we haven't seen anything on this forum about this patriotic sweethart
Patriotic sweethart = hateful, religious lunatic whackjob ....

A bug-eyed, bible-thumping psychotic ..... that perfectly mirrors the very stereotypes she professes to hate ....

This is, afterall, the indidivual (I won't call her a lady, as she certainly isn't) who took Lindsey Graham to task for "appeasing Islam" ..... for displaying a date palm tree (which happens to be the South Carolina state tree) and an alleged "crescent moon" (which is actually a gorget - a medallion worn by PATRIOT Revolutionary War Soldiers) on his website.

These symbols come from the South Carolina flag, which in it's current iteration dates back to the 1860's .....

And this is the type of individual that is to be relied on to provide one with "clear understanding" ..... a total moron who is so completely ignorant and utterly stupid that she is incapable for seeing things for what they actually are ?

Listening to such folks as a method to become "educated" and stay "informed" is just pure genius, I'm telling ya .....

She certainly gives us a clear understanding of the Muslim religion, in case there were any doubts about their beliefs or intentions.
That's kinda like sayin' Joseph Goebbels would give one a clear understanding about Jews' beliefs or intentions ....

In fact, her invective sounds remarkably similar to Old Joe himself:

The Jews are Guilty! by Joseph Goebbels

The idea that a hateful religious bigot would give anyone a "clear understanding" of anything other than their own bias, bigotry, and hatred is simply ludicrous .....

Of course, there are those, who due to various reasons, including their own personal philosophy, are so inculcated to such hatred that they are simply utterly incapable of recognizing it for what it actually is ....

(BTW, this is not for family viewing so be careful with your volume due to the occasional not-deleted expletive)
....... lest the oh-so-sensitive (and undoubtedly highly "religious") folk out there be offended by an expletive ...... whilst viewing this unexpurgated pyschotic hate-fest ....

Now let me make something clear: I DO NOT ENDORSE, SYMPATHIZE, AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH ANYTHING SHE SAYS OR ANY POSITION SHE TAKES. But maybe - just maybe - she has some valid points.
The internal inconsistency in the above statement is almost beyond belief:

In order for one to consider (or hold that opinion) that she "maybe .... has some valid points", you would have to agree, or at least be inclined to agree with, some of the sentiments she expressed.

That one would apparently be unwilling to come out and be honest and open and state, for the record, what exactly she is saying that she "might have a point" about says quite a lot.

BTW, the "wink, wink ... nudge, nudge" factor is similarly quite impressive .....

Considering that you have previously made your sentiments known with regard to people of the Muslim faith, do you really honestly think the double-talk disclaimer above is gonna get you off the hook ?

Also, an old saying came to mind as I watched this video: "The eyes are windows to the soul".
Really ?

The one that came to my mind was:

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Matthew Chapter 12

I'm fairly sure that the above applies to those of the fairer sex as well.

But as regards the "eyes" aspect which you raise:

Ann, honey - I really wouldn't wanna be you ..... I look in your eyes and see only:

..... dead woman, talking .....

(For those who are likely to be incapable of accurate discernment, the sentence immediately above is a commentary on the nature and present condition of Ms. Barnfart's soul ..... or more accurately, lack thereof .... and is in no way an implied threat on her person)

Generally speaking, I am disinclined to refuse valid requests to address moronic imbecility for what it is .... provided I have the time, of course ....

Oh I wouldn't really expect too much - it seems that many here are disinclined to actually be responsive to specific issues when raised ..... they sort of just try to bury their heads and ignore them ....

I've inserted a couple of edits to this post since (1)sarcasm is hard to recognize without emoticons - and sometimes even with them and (2) the last sentence of the 2nd paragraph could be better worded as to its intent.

Interesting in that "get a rise" is a euphemism for trolling. :D

I disagree that this "Patriotic sweethart" is a hateful, religious lunatic whackjob. She seems like a typical, perfectly normal, run-o-the-mill Christian to me.

Her eyes do, however, have a certain Charles Manson-esque insanity about them. So if the eyes truly are windows to the soul, that would make sense. :D

Take a look at part 1 of her speech, vilifying Lindsey Graham. I like her :censoredsign:!

Woman BURNS QURAN PART 1 of 2.flv - YouTube

Rlent... as far as insulting the majority of peace-loving Muslims, I'm playing a violin for them. If people are offended because someone speaks their mind, I say grow the hell up! Christians put up with it everyday. Conservatives put up with it everyday. AMERICANS put up with it from snobby Europeans everyday. It's my God-given right to condemn/ridicule/slam anyone/anything/any religion I want, for any reason I want. Personally, I don't see the reason for burning a BOOK, other than to target someone you want to pizz off. Maybe ask the Arabs in Arabland why they burn the Bible, or effigies of our presidents, or our government's flag. Frankly, I don't care why. We have the freedom to do such things, so we should not biznitch when someone does them.

Christians put up with it every day, but they whine about it every day, just the same. So do Conservatives. The worst ones, though, are the Conservative Christians, who whine twice as much.

I disagree. The blacks whine more than anyone, followed by fundamental homosexuals, followed by run of the mill pansy-azzed liberals. THEN the Christian right. True conservatives and libertarians don't give a rat's behind what anyone thinks. They're too busy cleaning their guns. :D

Let's define whining.
  • Was it whining when the illegal Mexicans in CA started raising h*ll when Proposition 187 was passed by an overwhelming percentage and their free goodies and benefits were threatened?
  • Was it whining when the folks from rural Western PA reacted to Obama's description of them as being "bitter clingers" because they didn't agree with him?
  • Was it whining for OWS to be marching in the streets wanting forgiveness of student loans and free health care?
Personally, I don't think this Barnhardt chick is whining - she's just got an agenda that's also a nutty obsession. Also, it REALLY a stretch to label her as a "typical, run of the mill Christian". But I would like to see some examples of this "Christian / Conservative Christian whining" that's supposedly commonplace, especially in light of the apparent lack of Liberal whining. Reactions to unjustified or unfounded attacks don't count.

That's because they're the only ones in America it's still ok to discriminate against.

Ken, if that's what I seem like to people ... then I've really screwed up something......... I can disagree with people, and feel they are 100% wrong.. without spewing hate like this for the person themselves.

I like the fact that she was able to work a reference to LooneyTunes™ into her little diatribe ....

I'm fairly sure that the irony of the moment escaped her tho' ....

Hawk,

In case ya missed it, the words of mine you refer to are a paraphrase of Pilgrims words in another thread (a thread in which you offered some speculation as to my words ..... speculation, that was, in fact, correct ;))

My comments in this thread that you refer to above were intended as a parody and sardonic humor.

Personally, I don't see the reason for burning a BOOK, other than to target someone you want to pizz off. Maybe ask the Arabs in Arabland why they burn the Bible, or effigies of our presidents, or our government's flag.
Sometimes it might be one of the only ways in which a largely powerless individual feels that they have to fight back .... even if it is only symbolic ....

Frankly, I don't care why. We have the freedom to do such things, so we should not biznitch when someone does them.
She certainly has the right to say whatever she wants about Islam (even if it is less than informed), and to even burn the Koran if she so desires ..... just as others have the right to comment on her actions and motivations ....

It's all good. She burned a copy of a book. The Pakistani Taliban blew up centuries old historic statues of Buddha. Seems fair to me. I am sure that they blew them up in a non-violent, peaceful, democratic manner.

Certainly unfortunate ..... that kinda thing happens in war though .... collateral damage and all that ....

I am not a "sport" nor am I working for any intell agency. The Buddhas were not blown up as part of the war, they were blown up for religious reasons. Not that any radical Muslims would ever do anything for religious reasons. They are peaceful.

Never said you were (either) .... just that your "intel" was faulty ....

The Buddhas were not blown up as part of the war, they were blown up for religious reasons.
LOL .... you need to broaden your perspective .....

The Talibans activities were certainly, in many cases, part of a war of sorts ....

Not that any radical Muslims would ever do anything for religious reasons. They are peaceful.
Not that any radical Christians would ever do anything for religious reasons. They are peaceful.

See how that works ?

I think it would be best if I ignore you and you ignore me. Sooner or later one or both of us will get "vacations" from here. I also don't believe that any discourse between us will further the forums. That is all I intend to say on the subject.

Now, I am looking at a boat I need.
