all position tires

I am thinking about putting a set of all position tires on my drive axles for a increase in fuel mileage. My question is has anyone out there done this, if so what brand / model would you or did you go with and what kind of life did you get out of them? I want to try to figure out if it will be worth it and what kind of savings I will be looking at. I don't run that much in the winter so traction shouldn't be to big of a issue. Thanks for the info. Or should I just bite the bullet and go to the super singles?

If you have a truck with warrenty still, I would check with them if they would cover the truck still if you put different type of tires on it. I say this, because our owner was thinking about putting the super singles on it, but Hino would void warrenty on the truck if he did.

They said it was the fact, if the tire did blow, there would be no way of keeping it from flipping the truck since there is no other tire to support it on the side it blew.

Just a thought for you to check into.

well you could just go with steers all around. i had a truck like that and it got over 10mpg(3126/6spd). icy recessed docks i needed a push. if you are indoors over the winter no biggy. otherwise you could copy the new acura ax-01b racing in the alms p1 class. they use rears all around. imagine your strt with 4 or 6 super singles.:)

Steer Tires are all position tires. You still have a wheel to catch you if you blow a Super Single. If you have a lift axle this will also catch you.

Go to Michelins web site and compare rolling resistance of any of the tires you are looking at. The cheaper tires often cost you in the long run by losing fuel mileage.

I have used Michelin XZE all around on a previous tractor before. Didn't notice a major increase in mpg but it rode better and was much quieter. Did not encounter any traction problems.
