air blow gun kit

I am trying to install an air blow gun in my truck behind the seat and I am wondering do I have to cut both sides of the hose to do this? I can't figure out how to get the black connector off the hoses to install the air gun.

Kicking up that crap and dust isn't good. Use a vacuum.
