Air America goes bankrupt.

For years, the left complained that the right had an unfair advantage with the success of Conservative talk radio. It took them a while, but they finally figured out that commercial radio was an option for them too. Air America is born.

With Al Franken as their most recognizable personality, they set out to be the answer to Rush. One problem. They did'nt have anything to say that anyone wanted to listen to. Franken's a funny guy and I really enjoyed him on Saturday Night Live. He apparently did'nt realize that after you make fun of the other guys, you should have some ideas of your own.

You know this may sound bad, but I hope they pull through out of the mess.

See many of you don't realize that this actually gives the left more power to enact things like the fairness doctrine where true free speech is subjugated to the whims of what they feel is equal air time. It is not funny that once this gets some momentum behind it, that it does mark an end of a freer media as we have been enjoying it today.

As for Air America, Franken was never a good writer let alone a good host. SNL was the pits when he was a writer. Now if you watch, many of the people are reading off of a teleprompter or cue cards that off to the side and the skit writing quality is poor at best.

Greg, try this site http://thinkprogress.org/ scroll down a bit and you'll read about Air America, and its funny they're not going bankrupt like O'Lielly and Drug Addict Rush said. Imagine that! please post those wonderful Republican forums/sites (Drudge, NewsMax) for us few Democrats and we can compare how wacky they are. The enemy of my enemy is my friend?

I am truly puzzled.

Rush has an addiction problem and paid a price.

O'rielly is someone who I consider a bafoon most of the time.

Beck has admitted that he is an alcoholic and former drug user.

Hanity was a former construction worker and believes GM is the greatest car ever built (yea no one is perfect).

Savage is hooked on chinese food and has a doctorate and other things.

So
no.1 talk show host ->Rush
no.2 talk show host ->Hannity
no.3 talk show host ->Savage (beck claims to be but he is the ....)
no.4 talk show hosr ->Beck
no.5 talk show host ->O'reilly

In reality there is no liberal talk show host outside of Oprah in the top 25.

I feel that if Air America fails, it will be dealt with by the dems by passing the fairness doctern.
