It's an election year and it's time to play the race card, AGAIN. I have little doubt that the NEXT card that Mr. Rangel will play will be the "class envy" card. They need a new deck.

Rangel needs to look at a calendar once in a while. That blackhating think is just so 2008.

Nowadays conservatives hate simply because they do. The echo chamber/media support machine is geared for that now. They're caught in a constant feedback loop where hate leads to acceptance and gratification.

I guess that it is just not possible to be opposed to programs that deny and restrict freedom?

Rangel didn't "play the race card" - he answered a question asked by a reporter. Not responding to the truth [or not] of what he actually said, just waving a dismissive label, is classic evasion.
Ditto for "class envy" - it means "We don't have anything we can say for the record [on income inequality, minimum wage, financial fraud, etc] so we just wave it away with a label."
Republican opposition to and obstruction of anything and everything Obama is clear, beginning from the moment he was elected, and it is just plain criminally stupid. They're like the boy who cried wolf: when it really matters, no one pays any attention to them anymore.
