There are several companies that permit "Day" cab straight trucks and tractors in their fleets.
I'd suggest you work this from the standpoint of finding a company close to your home and contacting them regarding your truck.
With a "Day" cab you will probably have to reside close to their base of operations.

Look around most of the larger cities or those with large industrial areas nearby. There should be a few companies that do rush or expedited deliveries with vans and straights (even tt) that do not require a sleeper as the loads don't go too far and there are usually several a day. I know a few in my area that do this and some guys are doing alright and home every night. many call themselves courier companies but handle a fair amount of expedited freight. So no sameday or over night stuff only rush loads as these pay better.
