Yesterday I was driving around Huntington Beach and guess what I saw? As I was driving around a parking lot I recognized a certain gold van with a rooftop AC unit on it. I was like it can't be. So I pulled up even closer and the van had Virginia plates, an OOIDA sticker on it, and it was a duramax diesel. Well, guess what? It was Phillip "60MPH's" old cargo van. I parked my car and walked up to the driver and asked him if he knew Phillip and he said no. He said that he had recently bought the van and drove down to Virginia to pick it up. The van still had a CB in it and most of the accessories that Phillip used when he was expediting. I don't know what the significance of something like that is, but out of every city in the United States, his van ended up here in Huntington Beach.
If I still had my cell phone I'd have taken a picture. It was very spooky for a minute, because I was hoping that Phillip had played a trick on all of us. Alas he wasn't there, just the vans new owner, or whoever has been in posession of the van since his passing. I wanted to drill the poor guy for more information, but I didn't want to seem like a nutcase. It just makes me feel really bad for how easily we forget people after they pass on. A lifes worth of modifications and love went into that van, and now it has been passed on like a piece of clothing, to someone who doesn't deserve it. It's sad, really sad. Also, this isn't a joke. I really saw the van. I would have been so happy to see Philip come out of that van. RIP,60MPH, we all miss you.
