A Drivers Roundtable...

Hi,

Ellen Voie of Truckers Buddy International will be hosting a live Drivers Roundtable at
Expedite Expo 2003. She needs some drivers to volunteer and participate in this forum.

Join Ellen Voie and a panel of professional drivers as they discuss ways
carriers can be more attuned to what makes drives stay or leave. This round
table discussion will focus on ways to make drivers feel valued and a part
of a team and will also look at reasons drivers leave their present
carriers. Bring your questions and be sure your recruiters attend this
event, presented both day

I wish that the expo was on the weekend,I'm just to biz-e during the week to make it I would have love to meet some of the guys and girls but maybe another time. Hawk

Hi Hawk!!!

I am just as busy as you are and I made time to go. In fact I will be driving right by your home20 on my way to the Expo. I can stop and pick you up and bring you along with me. You can stay in the motel with me, I'll get a 2 bed rm. and ride back home with me on Thursday.

There isn't an excuse for you not to make it. What if you was real sick (god forbid) and had to miss deliveries for that day? What would you do then? You can't say you don't have a ride because I will pick you up, and you can't say you have no place to stay cause you can stay with me.

I will be passing threw Cleveland around noon, but can be there anytime after that If you want me to wait.

Will someone please explain why this can’t be held on a weekend? We would loose nearly a week’s work to attend. By the time you take yourself out of service on Tues to DH there, and try to get yourself back out. The week is SHOT. Could it be that the "suits" don’t want to give up their weekend?

You’re talking to the guy who determines the day for the show.

We have better attendance mid-week then we do on days closer to the weekend. For some reason most expediters are willing to visit the event if they are say laying over far away as Cleveland, Chicago or even Indianapolis - but they won't truck all the way from the house just for the event.

This is after three years of doing the show, talking it over with drivers and shuffling the days around.

But things change.

We haven't set next year’s dates or location yet. So please tell me your preference.

gee Tony, Ken & I were asking about you at the expo..you sound so down to earth and knowledgable that we were looking forward to meeting you. But we got a trip out early afternoon..maybe next year?

Met a lot of really nice people at the show and I must say I got all the warm fuzzies just from being around you all. (and Ken got a sunburn! *l*)

Mom..hope the trashcan party was a big success!

and it certainly was a pleasure to meet the EO head haunchos and their wives. Kinda makes ya glad you hang around with such good people!

AND the A/C is back on in Ontario..at least in spots!!

I was ready to cuss you guys out for not showing up. I arrived about 2:30 Wednesday and stayed all day Thursday. I too loved being at the show and am definitely going to be there next year from start to finish. You all know where I live; At least hubby knows my exit, so why wait till next year. If you have a lay over near me, you can park it in my back yard right next to a private stream. You guys are welcome anytime. I’ll even get wifeeeeee to cook us up some good old fashion food. Garrrrr-on-teeee, it’s better than Timmies. LOL

Tony.. Yep we missed ya by about 1/2 or so...and "I know exit" ?? I must be in a fog! We been driven, driven, driven for weeks now beeeen soooo busy honest to goodness, (2x drop coming)we're off to Warren (Wed) and then unto Dayton (Thur drop)area and then P/U Friday afternoon on a return trip! Be home by 10pm Friday
Tony whats the wifey cookin?? We was down that way last week By Oil City!
Email us directions! AMmmmm starvin!

P.S. It was a great show! Maybe we can talk Tim Hortons into bringing in thier Temp trailer for next year??? Larry, Jeff you see this????
