I am not certain of this ,but at one time I believe the FDX insurance carrier would deny any accident claims if you had a pet in the cab. They claim you could get distraced by the pet. You might want to check with the insurance company and as Terry said,pets are absolutely prohibited at nuclear plants andmilitary installations. In most cases these days they search your truck before you are allowed in.

Thanks for that advice. I received Tom's OK to get a cat, so I'm assuming his insurance is ok with it. I think he wants me to have a cat so I won't want to spend as much time on the phone with him talking.
Since I will never work for FedEx CC again, this won't be a problem. My current job offers more flexibility than any other out there.
I'm surprised in all this talk about pets in the truck that no one has mention the infamous "Monkey People" who used to run a Landstar cargo van. :7 :7
