60/40 split

Would like to hear from any solo drivers doing a 60/40 split for a fleet owner. Trying to do my "due diligence". Thanks.....

I do a 60/40 split with the owner I work for. It seems to be ok with one exception and that I know what they get every week, and I think with the 40% they get I should just buy ny own truck.

Congratulations Diver, it doesn't take much to realize how right you are if you can swing the buy-in expense and you've decided that this expediting thing is your calling. No owner is going to get rich on the return of investment he realizes from one truck, but as an O/O you get the added advantage of a tax break not realized by some non-driving owners. You also get to sell the truck and keep the change when you're ready to get another

u have people out there that cant aford to by a truck allwayes take the 40 end of the split if they pay fuel an turnpikes ull alwayes have a good pay check if the will not give u the 40 an whant u to take the 60 that usally means the owners truck gets bad fuel milage or hes just trying to get what he can out of u before u figur he is ripping u off allwayes go 40 i can say this because i am a fleet owner but i started out leasing good luck o an by the way if ur whith panther stay away from owners whith last name start whith B :7
