This years 2013 Expedite Expo was a GREAT expo. We met a lot of new people and vendors that will help our business "Keep Moving Forward" as we say in our office. This was our first year having a booth at the Expo and we plan to get the same booth next year at the 2014 Expo. This event I felt is better than MATS for Expedite drivers. I went to MATS for the first time ever this year and felt it was way to big and overboard as a driver couldn't see everything in the time frame of the show.
The Expedite Expo had vendors that deal with Expediters and the needs of Expediters. I tip my hat to Lawrence Mc Cord, Sean Mc Masters and the whole On time Media staff for putting this together each year. If you have never been to the Expedite Expo, it's a must see event each year and I encourage every expediter or someone who is thinking about get into this business to go to. When next years Expedite Expo comes around in 2014, please take the time to stop in and check it out.
Ted Williams was at the Expo this year walking around the Expedite hall stopping at every booth and shaking hands with vendors and people that came to the show. CIS gave away $1000.00 each day of the Expo to a drivers that were at the show. The Casino night sponsored by CSI had over $5000.00 worth of prizes that was given away to those who attended. It was a great time.
Every year after the show ends there is a drivers BBQ out in the parking lot where all the drivers come together and share a meal and talk about the expedite business.
