Anyone know of a good 12 step program for chrome addiction? I can't drive by Iowa 80 without stopping and buying something and it's Tenntruckers fault he got me hooked.

Though I like the look of chrome I avoid it as much as possible (sorry) What broke me of the chrome look was when I rebuilt a car and chromed out the motor then drove home. After driving down that long dirt road and hours of cleaning and polishing I vowed to minimize how much chrome I ever have.Even on my motorcycles I make every attempt to either remove or powdercoat whatever is chrome.

Read Dave Ramsey. If you buy into his philosophy chrome will seem silly.
If you work his program you'll be able to afford chrome if you so desire it.

His book "The Total Money Makeover" is a simple common sense approach to getting out of debt and a way to really make your life so much easier.
I've given out at least 15 copies to family and friends. It's also a wedding gift at every wedding we go to.
If I had gotten one at my wedding I wouldn't be typing this.
I would have retired long before I became an expediter.

Well i'm already debt free with the exception of my home mortgage that will be paid off in 7 more years as long as I can continue making the extra principle payments. sounds like an interesting book Zorry how about loaning me a copy? Help A brother out!

It IS a wonderful book.
We bought it, did the program and were debt free. WERE, until we bought this truck to be expediters!!!
We have given copies to each of our 4 children (all are debt free and building wealth), and to other relatives, as well as friends.

It's an easy read and a book you'll feel good about passing along.
If you can catch his radio show it's exciting to here people call in and shout " We're debt FREEEEE !!!"

Diane and I are debt free but seeing the rave reviews of the Ramsey book, I bought it to read. Maybe there will be something new to learn or a refinement to make in our money management practices.

I think Dave Ramsey is right on. My house is paid for, so is my truck, and by the end of the year, my wife and i will be completlydebt free !!!!

I did things backwards though, I paid my truck off first, then my house, now Its the smaller debts. I cant wait till January, when we take a few months off with no bills to payother than electric and grocery. It has been a hard road to hoe, but once you see the light at the end of the tunnel its worth it.
