If you look at the wrecker that actually clears the bridge you will see the flashing lights on both sides of the sign. haha just not their day I guess.

all those rentals have the box height on the corner of box so you can see it in the mirrors, also on the top middle of windshield and on each sun visor and still this happens
What scares me with my truck is gas stations they never have the height posted, I have to get out and look to see if I can fit:eek:

Yes, it's a gas burning Hino :p should I say Petrol station or Fueling station or diesel station
I fill up at regular stations because the price is cheaper alot of times The truck stops are expensive and the food etc is expensive, Speedway, Marathon or Walmart I get points at speedway and it adds up real fast filling up my two 55's
The newer stations usually have higher clearance my truck is 12'9" So some diesel stations I can't fit

Well I don't know anything about Hinos. I knew they had small engines and are a Toyota product so it made sense to me that it could be a gas burner.

it's diesel, it's a Toyota, and yes it has a small engine. Hills aren't fun.

Hinos are not real trucks. Disposable, under powered expensive ah... can't find the word, but truck? Mileage on mine was OK, I do a lot better with my Detroit. 12mpg +

Mileage is better then the other class 6 trucks out there, and I can make due climbing hills at 40 to 45 not many hills in Indiana, ohio, michigan anyways and those are my primary states I run. Just wish it wasn't turning 2200 rpm at 65, but since it a low horspower, low torque engine maybe that is where it needs to be on a class 8 that would be like redline,
I've been happy with it so far, knock on wood
oh and it was cheaper then the International or Freightliner. I lease it so all maintenance is covered, If I was buying one I'd probably go for the International

I'm guessing you already know, but just in case ya didn't. Make sure you go get the Speedway Gift card charged up & then use that card to fill your tanks. Don't just use the Rewards card while paying w/ cash or credit card.

Again, I'm figuring ya already know. But just want to be sure. I had a friend who only used the Reward card for like 6 months. He could never figure out why his point total was so low where as a lot of us were getting free fill ups & such at somewhat regular intervals.

Referencing the link attributed to the video above: "So frequently do trucks crash into the 11-foot-8 clearance trestle, that the railroad company installed a crash beam in front of it."
11foot8 videos

Possibly, those that came up with the crash beam idea could take a page out of Ronald McDonald's playbook? Likely a better preventative measure, although, a bit less entertaining:

Yep, I am aware of that, thanks for the heads up. I've earned over 600 in gift cards, every 66,000 points i get a 100. They recently changed their rewards so i think it is harder to earn those cash cards now

I've yet to have a clearance problem at speedway, some stations are pretty tight though especially to fill both tanks
