I think I can answer the question this way. If you have to log your going to get screwed by the FMCSA

me thinking that the FMCSA realized they claimed on a big tree, without any need.
the whole new(new, new) HOS thingy started with a court saying the FMCSA did not take into consideration drivers health when coming up with the last (current) rule.
there for i think they will not limit drive time more then it is now, but they will require more rest.
the 11/ 70 will stay.
drivers will be required to take a 30 min. break, if they being on duty/driving for more then 8 consecutive hours.
drivers will be required to take 11 hours break each day,
and the 34 will becomes a 36.
i also think they will allow teams to go back to 5/5. and split log.

I think it will be exactly as it is posted on the FMCSA site - including that dumb rest at night crap.

I'm all for the 30 minute thing, it should be a no brainer to take a break and won't kill anyone to do so.

I would like to see more or less a way to stop the clock after one hour or maybe two but I don't see the split sleeper thing ever returning because it goes against the DOT's fight to make the roads safe.

Slo-ride, FMCSA cannot push it to a later date because of the lawsuit still pending in federal court. If FMCSA ****es off the safety groups then the lawsuit they have going will be before the same court.

If they **** off the trucking companies, which is my bet then they will sue the FMCSA, but I don't think they will win any lawsuit.
