    One Dispatcher over another

My experience has been that the situation you described happens more often when there are more trucks in an area. For example say that you are in Atlanta with 15 other trucks the same size as you, more often than not there will be many offers of cheap freight. The company knows that the trucks...

    Dumb things dispatchers have said

We are in a D unit, and the question we most always get from the "big" truck drivers is "do ya make any money in them little trucks?" UMM,no we just drive all around the country because we enjoy the ride.

    Dumb things dispatchers have said

Had a quite young sounding woman (girl) call me and ask why I had turned down a load offer. I told her it was because the pay was not good. She proceeds to repeat the pay figure and then say's "sounds like pretty good money to me". Oh really, and how many D units have you owned and operated is...

    One Dispatcher over another

Yes,I agree some dispatchers just have a knack for getting you to take a load that you would normally turn down. That is why I never answer the phone, thank God for caller I.D. :D

    A plea for aid

And just as I suspected, from looking at the story in the Medina County Gazette the help and support is already pouring in from the community and the Red Cross. MEDINA — Police tried to climb the stairs to reach Tashawn Okoye in his second-floor bedroom early Monday morning, but the flames...

    A plea for aid

I too am a former firefighter and unfortunately twice in my twelve years on the department I responded to calls that involved child fatalities. What really grabs me about this story is that this is my department that responded to the fire. This is a terrible thing that this mother and this...

It's time to play..WHO'S IN THAT TRUCK?!

I don't remember where it is stated that you have 24 hours, but it doesn't matter because no one will honor that. You would do better to try priceline when you want to get a room, better hotels and always consistantly lower than CLC. Case in point,we are in a Holiday Inn in south Texas at $35.00...

Looking for info on FedExCC Owner-Operators

I hate to be the one to tell you gordon, but the chances of you getting your own rig and still being in w/g are slim to none with it likely being none. There is a waiting list to put trucks on with w/g, and the wait could be years to get into it. And it doesn't matter one bit what amount of...
