I became curious about the flat rate program for straight trucks and wanted to find out more about it. Here is the info I was given: "The flat rate pay plan that’s available for straight-trucks is simply an alternative pay plan. The trucks still run OTR, they’re not regional, or they’re...

A Goody Bag on my Mirror

I awoke Friday morning to find a goody bag full or BOL's, TripPak envelopes, log books and other things hanging on my mirror. Location was at the T/A in Morris, IL. (R-Place) I was wondering who left them for me. I would assume the why was because they were leaving. Thanks to whoever it was...

Quallcom shutting down & other questions

Occasionally our great new Quallcom has decided to shut down and then start itself up again. It takes forever and is a real pain when you are available on CLINK as load opps don't come through. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to update your logs while you are still doing an...

    T Chek discounts for 2010

    Low Paying Load Opps

Is anyone else getting inundated with low paying load opps? We delivered near Mount Vernon, IL on Monday morning and are at the T/A in Mount Vernon. I have not kept track of all the opps, but we have had at least 20 with rates below $1 per mile. Many way below. We have had very few above $1...

    Tire Discounts

I just bought new steer tires at Speedco and used the FedEx discount. Saved over $400 from what I was quoted at TA. If you are looking for tires don't forget to get a quote and ask for the discount.
