Ah, I see this is a common problem! The mechanic took it and showed me where that pulley went bad. I had never seen that happen before. He said it wasn't exactly the bearings, it was the part that connects the pulley. Weird. Dale

My 3rd alternator in 14 months.....was getting at OReily's....got this last one at Advance...hope it's better Dale

Mine did that...bad tensioner and bad alternator. Bearings were siezing. Dale

I think it can be just left in the loading dock. As Monte said the ones I've seen just turn into an explosion if you set up a separate forum. It actually becomes worse than the soapbox. Thanks for the suggestion though.
