Buying sprinter vs 10-14k GVWR box truck?

been working for a fleet owner in a promaster for about 3 months now and i'm starting to look into becoming an O/O, trying to decide weather to get a 3500 sprinter or one of the smaller 10-14k box trucks with floor space for 6 pallets. The difference being, with the way i plan to set up the...

Advice for a 22 year old starting with van?

I say go for it with the van, I got on with a fleet owner and I've been making more money than I ever did with trucks in this "slow season". Maybe I got lucky who knows but I'm glad I didn't take the advice I got on here

Advice for a 22 year old starting with van?

that wasn't really my point....im saying if there's "way too many vans" for everyone to make good money then you all must not be making a lot, its going to come down to how much you like the job wouldn't it? I mean why do you all stay doing this if there's all this crazy competition?

Advice for a 22 year old starting with van?

Hello again everyone.I'm actually not 22 until September, but I don't think I will actually get started until then. I have decided I would like to go with a sprinter/cargo van. I have various reasons I put into choosing between that and a straight truck. I know a lot of you told me in a...

Is becoming a sprinter van O/O still a viable option?

I hear ya. who would wanna touch any commercial vehicle and go along with all the BS that can come with when you can just do it in a van. Makes sense that the easiest work that is much less in demand (as far as driving goes) is going to not be as reliable as the latter. Yeah, I for sure...

Is becoming a sprinter van O/O still a viable option?

that's good, too bad for the vans it would be really nice to not have to worry about the DOT. That's something I could buy right now unlike a class B. But I don't wanna do that and get like 500 miles a week at super low paying loads.

Is becoming a sprinter van O/O still a viable option?

Yeah that's all kinda how I figured it would be with the vans....Now how about with the sleeper box trucks ran as team, do they have work or is it the same deal as the vans?
