    Are my numbers right?

Fisherman, is the feet owner you drive for leased to a carrier? If you buy a van will you put it on with this carrier? Your numbers are probably on the right track but a bit confusing. You listed average loaded miles but not all miles. Fuel and maintenance costs are generally calculated on a...

As mentioned, it depends on your vehicle class and carrier. If your carrier has more vehicles in your class than loads, your chances are greatly reduced. As a vanner I've got automotive freight out of McCalla. You are also close to Huntsville. South side of Auburn I scored freight from...

Just had to post the latest on "Driver Shortage"

The other extreme is an 18 year old can drive all over Rhode Island and be fine, but cross an invisible line going into Connecticut, and suddenly he is unsafe. I guess the only fair states to restrict 18 year olds to intra-state driving would be Alaska and Hawaii.

I doubt if this would ever happen, but, it is California...lol

If nurse Nancy believes this it must be true. State Senator Nancy Skinner says that she believes that diesel emissions are harming the health of California residents — particularly those who live near truck routes. .

    Noob Tire Rotation

Jacking up one side at a time never occurred to me. Do you jack up the front, insert jack stand and then do the rear on the same side? The Transit being a unibody has specific lift points and none are on the outside, center. Also to get enough clearance to remove the tires seems like a tall...

Can one of you DIY tire rotators explain the process. Are you rotating the spare tire in the mix?

    Noob Tire Rotation

I agree. I always tell them when I check in that I run 60 psi front and 80 psi rear. I think no matter what they tend to go by the manufacturer's rating. Also that I want them to use their little magic wizardly thing to reset each tire because my Transit's TPS doesn't reset after driving...

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

That's why I went with the plastic door jamb. It's durable and works for me. It's so 60's man and like totally unsustainable. How unfashionable is that! Also it was recommended to Benjamin Braddock by Mr. McGuire and probably has Mrs. Robinson's approval.

Best thing to coat wood van floor with?

Plywood floor? That's so 90's. My first van I put down plywood. I used mineral spirit based poly and thinned the first couple of coats with wood stain, color optional. Thinning the poly allowed it to soak deeper into the plywood. I finished it off with a few more coats of undiluted poly...

    The Fake News Depot

The following is from NBC Nightly News from 3-18-19. Beginning at the 15:54 mark is a story about a teenage girl that got pushed off a 60' bridge into water by a friend. The fall was captured on video and NBC showed the video 5 times during the short news story. The video was also used as a...

Road Pirate: "But the op stated problems at 30k, and they're reoccurring. I simply responded to the fact i dont have these "usual" problems, and my experience so far with it." It must be the small type size that caused the two quoted above to misunderstand your response and the OP's post.
