    April 2020 Fools & Follies

Think it has 4.10 gears for some reason if my memory serves. It is a limited slip Oh well. I should get off the internet and fix my sprinter :p passing the April thread torch to those actually working

It's a 2006. They came out with a much better version of the 6.0 later, maybe that's why? My 2003 Dodge Ram Van with a 5.2 got 15 highway. So I dunno... but yeah it had 1200 lbs of natural gas tanks BEFORE the freight was added.... Sent from my SM-A705W using Tapatalk

That's the rub. Very very few companies allow that for obvious reasons Mine does, but it's the result of a lawsuit before it was bought out by a huge company. They lost the ability to call us self-employed while telling us what to do, and how and where to do it Most I've known who take their...

Not in Ontario Canada but you likely don't have to worry about that. It's the cross border. They want to control and minimize risk. They view me the same as a transport truck, and can't help but worry about $100 million dollar lawsuits against a single vehicle. Being under 10k lbs they also...

Now my typical 24 hours of internet searching - step 1 to find parts for a rearend I've found a rebuild kit as cheap as $300 and an entire NOS differential from a local dealer for $16,600 Going to total up the special tools I don't have + parts against the junkyard options... I had found an...

100-115 kmh depending. If something is wrong with that mileage for a 6.0 Chevy conversion van, say something, I'll check it out, but I've heard from quite a few that's normal. It would have likely got the same mileage at 160 kmh, or idling in the driveway from my experience

/s [emoji41] Edit: sorry, I forget that some people are living life straight up. Here, if you want 1 truck insured, they have a simple answer for new drivers: no Cutoff for my rate ($7000 Canadian a year) is 10 years commercial driving experience. Those on fleet insurance forget. At least...

If you could; that would be courier, not expedite Most of my deliveries don't get me back home within 24 hours Nothing wrong with courier. I've done it (before coronavirus) and made over $1000 for a quarter tank of diesel. Sadly that makes it more profitable than seeing new places Sent from...

Decent to More than Decent requires you to live in your van. I dabble with More than Decent when I can; but if you have ties to home, that cuts into driving every waking hour for 2 weeks straight It's possible but not probable, like the lottery. 14 years in, and I have no idea what next month...

If you search on here, there's somebody who runs a pretty "large" small fleet. You might want to look it up... TLDR from memory he made over $100k dispatching his vans. There was a comment on how his drivers must have felt, but that's the way this business is Sent from my SM-A705W using Tapatalk

Just to save you the surprise, I doubt anyone will have anything positive to say. It's a tough business without a company to find you freight. I think nearly every driver here is with a company. We value our sanity (Hint: "where do you find freight" there's the little detail that should be...
