    Sprinter cargo van load board

Everybody used to use Sylectus for expedited Careful, I'm told a lot has changed in 7 years, not only expensive with garbage rates but they don't let you cancel easily The rest have a little on each. If you are posting, just ask for "small straight" and the floodgates will open

No forced dispatch, what that really means?

That is VERY true. Hi Ragman hope you and yours are all good My personal view in 2024, I take only what is good for me and don't give a rat's ass what isn't. Not my job to ensure a large faceless corporations profitability, they won't ensure mine

How to get your cargo or sprinter van inspected

:p I'm laughing WITH you not AT you Forget the brokers. Even when your MC/DOT ages out at 3 yrs, this alone will cause a huge number to ignore you Save yourself some hassle and find a forwarder, or call the larger brokers individually until you get someone who specializes in under 10k loads...

Boss wants me to buy a Sprinter

Is he going to sell it official, or take it off your pay? I might do this if it isnt a legal bill of sale, but a rent to own PAID FOR BY HIM. In other words, fine you'll take the sprinter off his hands if he gives you the work to pay for it (paying you more in the end than you could make on...

Cargo Van Thinking about coming back into expediting ?

From what I see, it's bad with all types of freight / size of trucks. Not just amount, but what they are paying. Tough time to come back unless you land somewhere with a ton of regular customers Fell off a cliff partway thru 2023, at least for me - while 2022 was a record year

There's gotta be a better way

Ok, update I saw one of the Promaster cab chassis with Volens sleeper units... WITH A HARDSHELL BOX. So it exists. Previous comment applies, I don't think it was traveling even 50 mph; he was probably trying to not spend everything he just made getting back home :)

Navigating Through the Challenges of Trucking Insurance

This post was over a month ago, but here goes Personally I hired on to an outfit that offered fleet insurance. Generally you need 3 years before anyone will even consider you no matter the price (at least in Canada) By the time I was forced to find my own non-fleet, I had more than 5 years...

There's gotta be a better way

I haven't personally seen one under 10,000 lb manufacturer plate WITH dual wheels (but I get you might be just trying to show the box) Try and rent something. Last week I got 10.3 mpg in my E250 with the short body. You don't want to be stuck with a combo that is too expensive to make money...

Are Endorsements / Certs Worth It?

That is the only way it's worth it (my opinion) Certs are useless on their own without a requirement to use them But ask yourself do you want to compete on price with freight anyone off the street is allowed to deliver, or do you want authority to be one of the only individuals available...

There's gotta be a better way

Huh? Hauling more weight under 10,000 has been solved; a Promaster is about 4200 lb curb and a 3500 can take 3 skids Why I said "huh" I'm trying to understand why you would want to haul 6 empty pallets What is the question, how to haul 6 skids while the truck stays unregulated? Even if they...
