    Custom built straight truck?

Thanks a lot zorry for the dipstick idea now I have a blown engine. Nah J/K I appreciate all of the feedback, as far as the sleeper it isn't that big a deal as long as it has a sink, decent size fridge, table, and plenty of storage it's fine. From what I've been seeing that is pretty common now...

    Custom built straight truck?

I was just wondering what would be the best way to go about having a straight truck built to the exact specs you want. I see all these new trucks for sale but none of them have all the add-ons that I want. I would like to custom build a freightliner, possibly m2 or cascadia. And also would they...

    Should O/O Welcome Reduced HOS?

I've got a question? Say for example you haul a load that takes you a total of 7 hours to complete which is under the 8 hour rule, but then you drive to a layover location that is another 1 1/2 hours away do you still have to take the 30 minute off-duty break or does it only constitute when your...

How Are They Going to Enforce the 30 Minute Break?

I have a question for you, I'm pretty new to expediting. So according to the previous post we are allowed to get fuel off-duty? If so I didn't know this. Thanks

Is this time of the year always this slow?

No I don't have my iac yet in the process of getting it. Everytime I go home I don't have a problem getting freight but then they bring right back up north and I will sit. Not everytime but sometimes. So I don't understand if the freight is good where I live why do they keep bringing me north?

Is this time of the year always this slow?

Maybe there are too many vehicles out here now maybe the markets becoming flooded, maybe people like me new signing on is the problem. I don't know but I do know I hate sitting all weekend at a truck stop 800 miles away from home when I could be home with my family.

    Fed Ex road test

I stayed in the hotel right down the street from orientation but if I could do it again I would have stayed in my truck and saved a lot of money.

    Fed Ex Orientation

I went through orientation at fedex about 3 months ago. The lunch is fantastic and all the drinks and snacks you want. Learned a lot but you should take some notes you will need to look back on them later. Good luck!

NEWBIE ALERT~What Happens to your load when Sick or Truck Breaks Down?

My truck broke down on me once under a load and my load was sealed (no transfer) so my only option if it couldn't be fixed quickly was to be towed to delivery about 180 miles. Thankfully it was a quick fix.

Is this time of the year always this slow?

I try to sit it out and wait for a load, but I still haven't learned which areas to go to and which ones to stay away from. As for moving on my own I usually always go towards home or a busy express center.

Is this time of the year always this slow?

I always try to go pretty much wherever dispatch says they need me. But I have been doing a lot of sitting especially over the weekends that's when I would like to get the long hauls. Maybe things will pickup soon. Thanks for all the feedback.
