On the list. I have an invertor and fan combination that works good after the sun goes down. During the day, no choice but to hang out in the drivers lounge at the truck stop.
Waiting for a load in El Paso, TX.
One thing for certain when visiting El Paso in June is that it will be HOT.
High of 98 today, 103 tommorow, 107 Thursday.
Can't find a shade tree to save your life out here either.
I came up from southern Mississippi after dropping Saturday morning. May have to scratch Memphis off the list of GOTO cities going forward for the time being.
Wondering if a persistant check engine light would be an automatic fail on those required DOT inspections? Had it to the dealership several times but it just keeps coming back on.
I experienced that yesterday at LAX. Between the road construction, the fact that British airways moved into a different building, and that none of the dozen airport personnel I asked knew anything, made finding it a complete PITA.
Took my first load into Florida the other day and wanted to say thanks to Load One for getting me a load out so fast. I had always heard that you should not take loads into Florida unless you were planning on taking a vacation. I barely had time to get a short nap in before the phone rang with...
They did a whole lot better than I expected they would. Michigan went to sleep after a pretty dominant 1st. Half. I wanted to see them run up the score on MSU to avenge what happened last year on the final play.
I feel pretty good about having these inspections done. If Load 1 finds a mechanical issue that could have left you stranded out on the road, you would likely save a whole lot more than $50 with an early detection. Seems like money well spent for a little piece of mind.
I feel your pain. Sitting in the Fort Worth, TX area, in the shippers parking lot, waiting for permission to move after my first load for the week was cancelled. Going on 4 hours now and will likely be another wasted day.
