    My Promaster 3500 repair.

I had cams, lifters, rocker arms and cylinder heads all done before 100,000 miles. Work was done at Zeigler Chrysler in Plainwell. All work that was performed included 2yr./unlimited mile warranty. I also had my transmission go recently at 140,000 miles. That cost me $5000 with the same...

    Newvember

Slow day so far in the Memphis area. Last load was Friday night and still 2 vans are in position ahead of me. At least it is fairly warm down here.

    November Locations or Vacations

I had the same experience waiting on this new transmission all week. Not once did my contact guy call me back to give me any updates. I got so sick of pestering them for information. Finally got the call last night at 9pm letting me know it was done. Total damage is $5,108. Going to take...

What kind is that? I like the thought of having a vehicle where I can actually check, or add fluid, when I need to. You can't even perform a lube job on my Promaster with all the sealed components.

I was a little skeptical about the 100,000 mile warranty on the transmission. You are right that it is only 36,000 normally. Not sure why the service manager came back out after he originally told me 36,000. Makes me think it will end up only being 36,000 when all said and done. I still need...

    The Hunt for Roadbed October

He originally told me the warranty was only going to be 36,000. When he announced later that he had been wrong and it was actually 100,000, I was pretty happy. I know it's not much in this business, but 36000, is like nothing at all. I would do that in just over 3 months.

They do not know at this point. They said it threw like 50 codes involving the tranny. I just had the tranny serviced recently. They were able to verify today that the fluid was good and at the proper level. That is about all the info they had for me though. These things don't even have a...

135,000 miles is all. I get the tranny serviced every 60,000 miles. Really caught me off guard. It has been running like a champ until today.

$5000 in repairs and at least 7 days out of service. Man, I will have to live on the road after this. On the bright side, plenty of expenses to write off this year.

    The Hunt for Roadbed October

Bad day at the office today. Catastrophic transmission failure on Promaster 3500. At the dealer in Arlington, Il waiting on a plan of action. Man, no warning whatsoever. Driving down the road, heard a whirring sound, check engine light came on and started dropping out of gear. Immediately...

    Dodge Ram Promaster 1500 0wners...

Can't remember the exact size of the socket, 13/16 or 15/16. You need one that fits a 3/8 inch drive ratchet. I got mine at Home Depot. Buy a short ratchet, stubby handled, 6 inches or less, and you will be able to change the filter with no problem. I can do mine in 3 minutes easily.

Load One rolling strong in Sept!

I am to impatient to wait it out in Laredo. I found myself there twice last week. First time, immediately deadheaded to Memphis after dropping on Monday morning. Tuesday, I get loaded out of Mississippi on a load delivering direct back to Laredo. I decided after that to give Laredo a chance...

    Don't July To Me

Thanks to Load One for a great week. I spent the majority of the week bouncing around undesirable locations (Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas) and they still managed to get me a load everyday. Ended the week with a paid layover in Pine Bluff, AR. There was an attempt to rain on my parade when I...

The latest new Load One custom

I completely understand where you are coming from regarding your decision to keep them all in your own fleet. Kind of wondering why it would be given such a prominent spot at the expo though, if nobody but you, and Load One of course, will ever benefit from this great truck? Just a thought.

The latest new Load One custom

Does that mean you will not be making them available to other owner ops and fleet owners running for Load One? You did a great job on this van. Makes me want to start setting aside a little bit more coin to replace my Promaster when it dies in a few years.
