    Sad day for Panther

So sad. You never know what is waiting around the corner for you. You have to watch at all times, and sometimes that doesn't even help. You never know what actions others will take. I've seen some crazy drivers out lately. Very dangerous. Sad for the driver's family.

    AnyTime Fitness Thread

Oh, okay. That is better than. So I could join anywhere and this would apply? And while I'm waiting for it to be active everywhere, I can still use any gym as long as it is during staffed hours? Thanks for the info.

    AnyTime Fitness Thread

We are looking into joining Anytime Fitness, but I didn't see any information on their website. On average, what are the fees to join and monthly fees if they don't give you any type of discount? How do you go about getting a discount? They seem to have locations everywhere. The only thing I...

    Panther Info

I wouldn't go into it thinking you'll only be there for so long as then leave. If you are happy there and make the money you need, that's all that matters in my opinion. I just wouldn't start at a company with thoughts of leaving before you know if it's a good match. You might never want to leave.

    Michigan No-Fault Insurance

I moved to Michigan and I was in shock at my car insurance:/ my rate was 120 dollars higher a month on an older vehicle and two of us with perfectly clear records. I miss my old insurance rates.

    Any panther van teams?

My husband is 6 foot and can stand up in the sprinter. We have plenty of room and a sleeper so we don't see much difference except that we can go anywhere and feel more rested because if one of us gets tired we can switch driving at any time. Our sleeper allows us to haul 3 skids since our bed...

    Any panther van teams?

Lol, liking each other seems to help. We have been together nonstop for so many years now it seems only natural. We have always been in a straight truck or big truck, and we are really enjoying this freedom. All the simplicity has made our time in the van so much more enjoyable. I think it just...

    Trash cans use' em!

Yeah, I usually only go with my husband because then at least they won't talk to me:) He jokes that it's like a prison yard though. It's so uncomfortable sometimes but what can you do? It's just strange the difference in men out there. Some hold the door open, won't hardly cuss in front of...

    Trash cans use' em!

I think all the men who make excuses for the men who do nasty things are just feeling guilty. Most of the decent men defend the use of bathrooms or at least throwing away the pee bottle in the trash. Anything else is just being lazy. Also, with so many people having children out on the road...

    Trash cans use' em!

Better watch out! Last time I mentioned not only trash but men peeing in front of me, I was told I'm not cut out for trucking and that they just aren't used to women being on the road as an excuse. Lol....It's kind of pathetic. Recently we saw a guy get out of his truck, and pee on the guy's...

    Deadhead

I will do that with no problem, I've negotiated that before. If the carrier will pay all miles the same when it's just ridiculous otherwise, I have no issues with that.

    Deadhead

I see what you mean. It seems like almost all of the time we are asked to DH what I consider a little too far. Wasn't sure if it was industry wide or a carrier based issue. I know that sometimes an industry can change and I'm willing to accept change if that is what is required, but I want to...

    Deadhead

I wanted to know how many of you find that you deadhead more for loads these days? Do a lot of you just suck it up and if it's under 30% you do the deadhead for the load? What is everyone's reasoning? Do you feel like it's not worth the time it takes you and you don't profit except getting...

    Garmin dezl help

How long have you had it? We have noticed that EVERY single GPS we have ever used starts doing that at a year. Our Garmin is 1 year old and suddenly freaks out and can't find a signal, doesn't know where you are, or routes you backroads when you are literally right off the interstate. I think...

Looking for info on Cobra and Rand Mcnally GPS's

We have the newer Garmin for trucks, and the newer Rand McNally as well. Both have good points and bad points. Cobra is horrible! Ours broke almost right away. Just never really liked it either. Rand McNally always finds our destination, and more accurately than any other GPS we have used...

no love from the tractor trailer

I think some of them do it because some straight truck drivers have no real training. I know some tractor trailers do not either, lol, but there are straight truck drivers who just got a cdl b real quick and don't have the first clue about driving professionally. I think that a tractor trailer...

    giving drivers a bad name

Whoever mentioned throwing the bottle out the window?? There are things called trash cans all around. Just because you are a truck driver doesn't mean you have to be low class either. There are plenty of people who walk into bathrooms. Do people pee in their backyards too cause it's closer to...
