    Winter survival suggestions, tips?

A definite must have! And have a backup source of heat as well to an Espar. I use a butane gas powered stove for cooking, and bought this round stainless cylinder thing that attaches to that that has excellent reviews for putting out a lot of heat. A great heat backup. I also have a small 7"...

    Winter survival suggestions, tips?

As expected, (lol), I'll start with a few suggestions.. Lock de-icer...it's always a good idea to carry a pocket sized hand sanitizer with you, but the alcohol in it acts as a lock deicer as well when sprayed liberally on a key and inserted in the lock a few times.... Windshield de-icer in a...

    Sprinter cargo van load board

Yes, thats exactly what my freind does...always on the phone...poor guy took a 2,000 mile load only to not get paid from one of those carriers.... And yes, Load One is the best company I have worked for since 1989..must be for me to be here for close to 11 years...

    Load One 2021

I was once told that drivers were not allowed to use the men's restroom in the recruiting building...smh...it seems that someone stunk it up pretty bad before I went to use the restroom with the crapper door propped open,, and I got the blame for it...I mean, it was really bad, like a sulfuric...

    Sprinter cargo van load board

I honestly don't see the advantage to being a multicarrier in a van, sprinter, etc. The cost of carrying the legal required primary insurance itself is ridiculously high. I have a American English speaking multicarrier freind who is a multicarrier, and pays $3,500 a year for his insurance...

Sprinter 2500 - trying to determine the size and type

Yes, sometimes others, including myself, can be harsh and appear negative in replies that are intended to educate the newer, more unexperienced person. In all reality, we do mean well. Please don't be easily offended.

Big Truck Insurance new authority NY

I once ran dedicated Goodyear in Cleveland to JFK...in my straight...3 round trips a week, for a year...hand load/unload indy tires...so sticky and smelly...luckily I was in and out of there during the early morning hours..if you do this kinda work, make darn sure you wear gloves while handling...

    What happened to Expeditors online?

Outdated as it may be, it will still be a great help to those who are considering this business. A well written guide.

Sprinter 2500 - trying to determine the size and type

Very well said. So many are so clueless. I once had to educate a Firestone dealer, as they said my van weighed 9,600#, too heavy for their lift, they claimed. That is my GVWR on the factory door tag.. smh..I left there, never to come back, as they argued with me over this. I went to a different...

    Transit Transmission advice requested.

You are welcome. Please pace yourself. No load is worth anyone's life, including your own. It will all work out in the end, as I have learned over the years.

    Load One 2021

Went home for Thanksgiving. Did a bunch of preventative maintenance things on the van. Fixed a few small things as well...everything is perfect on the van...all showered up, stocked up on groceries in the van, gassed up....went back into service....later that evening my turn signals quit...

    Oil additive experience

Motorkote is not any thicker than the 5w20 Mobil 1 that I run in my Ford engine. Lucas, however, is like syrup.

    What happened to Expeditors online?

I think that many, not all, expeditors stick to themselves anymore. The fellowship and friendliness just isn't there anymore. So much has changed since I started the OTR segment of expediting. Before 95. I ran mostly local Ohio expedite where I was home nights and weekends starting in 89. "The...

    Oil additive experience

I swear by Motorkote. It bonds to the metal parts in the engine, rather than float in the oil. Been using it since 97. My freind sold me on it by putting his coffee cup on my steer tire with the Cummins engine idling. He poured the Motorcote in. Within 5 minutes that coffee went to a gentle...

2021 MB Sprinter 2.0 gas or diesel

Heck, every night I see Promasters with a burnt out headlight.. .it's like an epidemic, a cult.. a status symbol, perhaps? ...lol....Similar to Dr. Seuss and those creatures with the star bellies...lol..I think the heat in an enclosed headlight housing is what is killing the bulbs. They just...

    Load One 2021

Wow. I am still close friends with my high school friends who are still Ohio State troopers and a few Sherrifs as well, and think completely different than thinking truckers are killers. They have the upmost respect for truckers. I'll confirm their way of thinking over dinner tonight at Texas...

    sprinter OTR newb question

And more often than not, shippers are shipping their products via expedite van or straight, where they have " exclusive use" of the particular vehicle to avoid freight damage, that so often occurs with most LTL carriers.
