Here Is An Interesting Van Setup

This is the first curtainside cargo van upfit being fielded by Volens of Lakewood, Ohio. This is a common setup in Europe but not here in the states. The carrier Wingstar (a sibling of Volens) will be operating this van and have plans for several more. This van was built just in time for the Expo and has not yet seen service. Their website will be coming online at www.volensint.com in the near future.

I see lots of potential with this design. I could even see myself increasing some of my personal space into the cargo tent space. Something like I've done in the Sprinter. If a driver sticks closer to home, the overhead sleeper could be enough. Even if I didn't sleep in the sleeper, it is still useable space on top of the fact that any cargo box is going to need some kind of aerodynamic nose when driving at highway speeds. I'll definitely be following this project.
